Located in Ottawa’s Central Park neighbourhood, Trump Avenue was established in the late 1990s and early 2000s as part of a development project on land that was previously part of an Experimental Farm. The neighbourhood was designed around a clear New York City theme, replete with street names and parks honoring various Manhattan landmarks. Features include Manhattan Crescent, Staten Way, Bloomingdale Street, and Madison Park. At the time of the street's naming, Trump was better known as a prominent developer in New York City rather than a political figure.
