BRYCE CANYON CITY, Utah (AP) — A tragic incident occurred at Bryce Canyon National Park, where two individuals lost their lives after falling approximately 380 feet (116 meters) from a viewing area. The bodies were discovered by tourists below Inspiration Point on Tuesday, following the incident that is believed to have happened late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, according to information released by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

The circumstances surrounding their fall remain unclear, though it has been established that both individuals had crossed over safety railings before the accident occurred. The park’s dangerous terrain, characterized by its steep cliffs and breathtaking views, may have contributed to the unfortunate event.

Authorities, including park rangers, search and rescue teams, and helicopter crews, were engaged in the recovery of the victims’ bodies.
