HYDERABAD, India (AP) – On Saturday, Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand was officially crowned Miss World during the prestigious beauty pageant held in Hyderabad, India. This year marked the 72nd edition of the Miss World competition, bringing together an impressive array of 108 contestants from various countries.

In a thrilling finale, Opal Chuangsri emerged victorious, surpassing all her rivals, including the first runner-up Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia. The crowning moment was a significant occasion, as Chuangsri received her crown from the previous year's titleholder, Krystyna Pyszková, who also hails from the Czech Republic.
