NEW DELHI (AP) – On Monday, an explosion and subsequent fire at a pharmaceutical factory in Telangana, India’s southern state, resulted in the tragic deaths of at least eight individuals, with several others sustaining injuries, as reported by local authorities.
The incident occurred in an industrial area situated approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the state capital, Hyderabad. G.V. Narayana Rao, the director of the state’s fire services, disclosed to The Associated Press that the charred remains of six workers were found at the scene.
