The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Colchester County are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place at a gas station located in Lower Truro. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, specifically around 12:30 a.m., when a masked individual entered the business situated on Robie Street.
According to police reports, the suspect was wielding a utility knife at the time of the robbery. He approached the clerk and demanded cash along with cigarettes. After obtaining the items, the suspect placed them into a garbage can and exited the store on foot, heading east along Robie Street.
Witnesses and investigators have offered a description of the suspect to aid in their search. The individual is described as being between five-foot-eight and five-foot-10 in height. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a distinctive green bucket hat and a long green coat that extended below his knees.
