Police have arrested Michael Gledhill, 44, in connection with the death of actor James Handy, whose body was discovered in a residential area of Los Angeles. The occurrence, which took place on Wednesday morning, followed a 911 call made by Gledhill himself, who reportedly stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found the 81-year-old Handy unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to the chest in the front yard of a home where Gledhill and his mother reside. Handy was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead. Police reports indicate that Gledhill identified himself to the officers as the suspect they were seeking.
Following his arrest, Gledhill was booked on suspicion of one count of murder. The bail for his release has been set at $2 million, as noted in jail records. James Handy, a veteran actor born in New York, had a prolific career in both film and television, spanning several decades.
