In another video clip, the couple is seen enjoying a cozy dinner date at a restaurant, where Perry tries sushi for the first time, with Trudeau looking on admiringly with his arm around her.
The couple generated a significant amount of media attention earlier this week after meeting with Japan's former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife for lunch. Kishida shared a photo of their meeting on social media, referring to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner.” He expressed his pleasure at maintaining friendships through such encounters, emphasizing the relationship forged during Trudeau’s time in leadership.
Reacting to the meeting, Trudeau thanked Kishida for his friendship and collaboration in strengthening Canada-Japan relations, highlighting past discussions on bilateral cooperation.
Rumors of a romantic connection between Perry and Trudeau surfaced in July when they were spotted dining together in Montreal during one of Perry's concert tour stops. Since then, public interest has swelled, especially after a viral photo surfaced, reportedly showing the pair sharing a kiss on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. The duo was also seen holding hands while celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday in Paris in October.
