Rush, the iconic Canadian rock band, has announced the addition of 17 new cities to their highly anticipated reunion tour set to commence in June 2026. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, the band’s surviving members, expressed excitement over the overwhelming response to the initial tour dates, which were sold out, including four consecutive nights in Toronto.
The newly announced concert locations encompass major Canadian cities, with Montreal scheduled to host a performance on September 2, 2026. Other Canadian cities joining the tour include Edmonton on December 10 and Vancouver on December 15. Additionally, the Fifty Something tour will make stops across the United States, with cities such as Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Seattle, and Tampa, Florida also on the itinerary.
General public ticket sales for the new shows will commence on October 31, following various presales that will begin this Thursday. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets through authorized platforms like Ticketmaster or the official Rush website to avoid falling victim to online scalpers, which Lee specifically warned against during a recent YouTube video announcement. He highlighted the ongoing issue of resellers inflating ticket prices and urged fans to stay vigilant.
This upcoming tour marks Rush's first extensive road outing since their R40 tour in 2015, which commemorated the band's 40th anniversary. The tour comes in the wake of the passing of drummer Neil Peart in January 2020 after a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. In a notable change, German drummer Anika Nilles will be taking Peart’s place for this reunion tour, which has generated significant buzz among the fanbase.
The announcement was made official on October 20, 2025, as fans await the chance to experience the band’s live performances once again. Lee expressed his gratitude for the fan engagement, indicating that the excitement surrounding the reunion is palpable. This tour not only serves to celebrate Rush’s legendary legacy but also gives fans a chance to reconnect with the music that has resonated with them for decades.
With a mix of nostalgia and new beginnings, this milestone event in the world of rock music promises to be unforgettable for both the band and their dedicated followers.
