They prayed for tickets to see Pope Leo XIV, and their devoted prayers for nine days were answered, allowing them to attend the pope’s prayer vigil attended by 40,000 faithful.
A pivotal moment occurred when a security guard handed their infant to the pope, who blessed the crying baby. Soon after, it was Joaquim's turn. Martínez described her son’s encounter with the pope, stating, “He was so moved that he could only smile; he couldn’t speak.” It was during this intimate interaction that Morenatti captured his now-renowned photograph.

Unbeknownst to Joaquim's parents, they had seen the image on the website of La Vanguardia and began their own search for Morenatti. Utilizing ChatGPT, they were able to find his name and eventually connected with him through Instagram, leading to a heartfelt phone conversation.
The family expressed their excitement about receiving the printed photograph, envisioning a special place for it in their home outside Barcelona. Martínez articulated their thoughts, saying, “We haven’t figured out yet where to place it, but it will be in a very special place.” She added that she hopes the image serves as a beacon of faith for her five children, potentially contributing to Gaudí’s canonization dossier.
