Lunenburg RCMP recently reported the charging of a 33-year-old man, Cody John Daniels, in connection with a violent incident involving the use of a torque wrench and bear spray. This altercation took place in the early hours of Friday, around 1:20 a.m., at a residence located on Feindel Street in Wileville.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the incident involved two men who were known to each other. During the confrontation, one man was allegedly assaulted when he was struck multiple times with a torque wrench and subsequently sprayed with bear spray. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Following the altercation, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the assault. Upon arrival, they were able to identify the suspect involved in the incident. Notably, the suspect was later located at the hospital, where he was undergoing assessment for injuries that he had also incurred during the confrontation

Following medical clearance, Cody John Daniels was arrested without any further incident. The RCMP has stated that he faces several charges as a result of his actions during the altercation. These charges include assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assault causing bodily harm.

Daniels has since been released on certain conditions and is expected to make his next court appearance next month. The nature of the conditions surrounding his release has not been disclosed, but the incident highlights the use of dangerous weapons and the seriousness of domestic altercations.
