Gunfire erupted near the Dockyard in Halifax during the early hours of July 12, 2026, resulting in a man sustaining injuries. Police reported that officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Amalamek Way at approximately 1:10 a.m. following a report of someone being shot.
Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel located a 39-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police administered life-saving measures until paramedics could take over. The man was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he is currently reported to be in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
