The construction work on Kearney Lake Road has concluded ahead of schedule. Initially expected to extend until the morning of Tuesday, July 28, the project was finalized earlier, as reported by local sources. The construction began on Saturday, targeting the segment of Kearney Lake Road situated between Bedford Highway and Dunbrack Street. This intervention was part of a broader initiative aimed at road repair, underscoring the city’s commitment to enhancing mobility in line with the “Moving Better” goals detailed in Halifax's 2026-30 Strategic Plan.
During the construction phase, the road was completely blocked, leaving only sidewalk access for pedestrians. However, the latest updates indicate that full mobility has now been restored to the area, alleviating concerns for local commuters and residents who were affected by the road closure.
