BROADWAY – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Nova Scotia are currently investigating recent incidents of racist graffiti that were discovered along a highway in Pictou County. This concerning act of vandalism has raised alarms about the presence of hate-motivated behavior in the region.

The authorities reported that the graffiti, found on July 28, 2026, along Highway 104 in Broadway, N.S., featured an antisemitic symbol. Such symbols not only symbolize hate but also target specific communities, sparking outrage and condemnation from various social groups and leaders.

In their efforts to investigate this incident further, the Mounties disclosed that a male individual was spotted driving a 2008 white Chevrolet Express cargo van in the vicinity of the graffiti's location. Following the report of the antisemitic graffiti, a construction crew acted swiftly to eradicate the hateful imagery, painting over it shortly after it was identified.
