As summer progresses across Nova Scotia, road repairs and renovations are actively taking place on highways and roadways throughout the province. Currently, several lane closures are implemented for road maintenance, with some areas being restricted to a single lane and others alternating lanes over the coming weeks.
Halifax Regional Municipality: A significant construction project is set to commence on Highway 103 in Beechville, starting from August 16 at 7:00 p.m. The work will involve alternating lane closures near the CNR overpass, extending west to exit 3, and bridge work will be ongoing most nights until August 31.
Additionally, both Springfield Drive and Lady Slipper Crescent are reduced to one lane until August 31 due to roadwork. Traffic control will be present in the area, and drivers can anticipate delays from Monday to Friday, during daylight hours.

Lunenburg County: On Highway 103, lane closures are occurring near exit 6 extending four kilometers west of exit 7 for blasting operations as part of a large upgrade project scheduled to continue until May 2027.
