The investigation into the tragic shooting incident at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, which resulted in the deaths of five students and one educator, has officially concluded, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The incident occurred on February 12, 2026, when 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar opened fire, killing her mother and half-brother at their family home before moving to the school.
