The Halifax Regional Police announced that the body of a man discovered at a recycling facility on Chaine Lake Drive is not considered suspicious. The grim find occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, when officers were called to Advanced Recycling Ltd. following a report from workers who had encountered the remains.
Upon investigation, authorities confirmed that the body had arrived at the recycling plant in a truck, which had collected materials from commercial containers in the Bayers Lake and Halifax areas earlier that same morning. The police are withholding specific details regarding the cause of death for now, but they have indicated that it is not considered suspicious.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and identified the deceased as a 50-year-old man from Halifax. This discovery raises questions regarding the circumstances leading to the man's death, but the police have yet to release further information regarding the incident.
