$150K Reward for Info in Pictou County Homicides

The province is offering $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction in a double-homicide, where bodies were found in a burned vehicle

The province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward of $150,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in a double homicide case. This tragic event involved the discovery of the bodies of Tyler Meagher and Keleana (Kelly) Trask, which were found in a burned vehicle on November 9, 2024. The vehicle was located on MacLean Road in Greenhill, a small community approximately 46 kilometers northeast of Truro.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) initiated an investigation following the grim discovery of the remains of Meagher and Trask. On November 14, 2024, investigators began probing into reports that Trask had been missing from Truro, determining that the circumstances of her disappearance were suspicious. Currently, the RCMP is unable to disclose the causes of death for the deceased, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Scott Armstrong, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, emphasized the importance of public assistance in these cases. He urged anyone with relevant information regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Ms. Trask and Mr. Meagher to reach out to the rewards program, highlighting that it could help bring justice and closure to their loved ones.

The homicide investigation falls under the umbrella of the Major Unsolved Crimes Program, reflecting the significance and urgency of resolving this case. Individuals with leads or information are encouraged to contact the investigative team by calling 1-888-710-9090.
